Another Neonatal Intensive Care Unit commissioned – this time at New Amsterdam hospital

The New Amsterdam hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), part of the Government’s vision to have an expansion of health care throughout Guyana, was formally commissioned today.
This unit is one of three that has already been established in Guyana for the prevention of deaths and provision of care for the new born; primarily babies that are born underweight, immaturely and or with birth defects.
